If you come on your own

Airport in goa-vasco de gama is served daily from all over the world and with much more inland flights. There are direct flights to Goa in the main season from November to February. For  Inland flights from Mumbai or Delhi to Vasco de Gama please visit www.google.com for economic international airfares and www.spicejet.com, www.indigo.com or www.kingfisher.com for national flighs.

Railwaystation Gokarna Road - on the Konkan line - is nine kilometres inland of Gokarna. The station code for Gokarna is GOK. There are hourly buses between the two, if you don’t want to pay the 150 rupees auto rickshaw drivers charge. Trains for Goa and Kerala stop more frequently at Ankola or Kumta stations, both are about 30km from Gokarna.

Bus if you do not get a direct bus or train to Gokarna, catch a bus to either Ankola or Kumta and from there take one of the auto-rickshaws. One direct bus a day runs between Goa and Gokarna, leaving Margao at 1pm and stopping at Chaudi (for Palolem) an hour later, Ankola and Karwar, before arriving at 5pm.

Taxi from Margao (Goa), about a 3 hour ride will cost you about 30 euro.

Rickshaw cruise with the cursor over picture for information.

Walking from Gokarna ist a nice 20 min walk (check the "Local info" page for directions) along the coast.
