Entering the new season

We are back and about at the Namaste Yoga Farm and preparing for the Season.

Our family has been growing and we are happy to announce that there will be an additional five warm hearted employees taking care of you this year.

This time there will be afternoon snacks available and other new delicious dishes like a healthy beetroot soup and traditional south indian banana buns have been added to the menu. For the laid back times of the day we expanded our library by more than 200 new books. The more active guests will be happy to hear that we bought a new ping-pong table and are looking forward to worthy challengers! And of course the chess-tournaments will go on…

A new notice board has been added to keep you updated about all the amazing upcoming events and workshops hosted here at the Namaste Yoga Farm.

We are looking forward to see you soon !

Singing in the Rain

Singing in the Rain

We are in the middle of monsoon and enjoying it!

The ocean is ruff but the waves pay the bill. A great treat for any surfer.

The jungle carries the wonderful scents of wet leaves into the farm and the local birds are bathing in the streams on our beautiful property.

Everything is alive and thriving. The hills are green and herds of holy cows are grazing them.

What a special time to be here at the Namaste Yoga Farm.

Monsoon is beautiful too! Read more »

The First Rains

The First Rains

The land is starting to become alive again

Nourished by the first monsoon-rains the former yellow, dried out grass around Gokarna and its beaches is starting to have a lush green again.

It is time for Jackfruit and Mangoes are still plenty around. Slowly the rain brings everything back to life and it is a pleasure to watch the change!

The famous Jog-Falls are starting to have water again and are recommended to pay a visit to any time in or just after the monsoon. The beauty of this waterfall and its environment is magnificent!

In town and the villages the „savitri-pooja“ has been going on, and it was magical to see the women spinning their threads around the trees, immersed in their prayers for their husbands…

Holy Gokarna in its traditional light ! Read more »

Mango, oh sweet mango !

Written by Oliver Miguel Monday, 16 May 2016

Mango, oh sweet mango !

Sitting in the cooling shade of our beautiful banjan tree with a chilled beverage is probably the best way to handle these hot month.

Between ocean-dipping and shadow-napping there is plenty of time for extended rounds of chess and cards or just a laid back meeting with your favorite book.

In times like these our green Namaste Yoga Farm seems like a serene oasis in the dry countryside, the plants still thriving, the trees full of fruits.

Mango season is here! Finally. What better than a sweet juicy mango from our own trees to refresh the mind.. Yummy ! Read more »
